Major Depression is serious and often needs professional medical intervention. But I am not talking about that. Sometimes we just feel blue, bummed out, defeated. Here are some tips on how to make yourself feel better when you’re feeling a little blue:
1. Stay Calm
Even just a little bout of the blues can spiral you down into anxiety. Close your eyes and take a deep breath. Take as many as you need and find your inner peace to stay calm. “This too shall pass” is something I like to remind myself of.
2. Feed your mind ONLY positive thoughts
When things aren’t going well, it’s easy to fall into a vicious cycle of negative thoughts. It’s important that you break this cycle as quickly as possible. To do that, you need to feed your mind with only uplifting, positive thoughts. As often as you can, read spiritual texts, personal growth books, funny books, motivational books, or inspiring quotes.
